ACA Level 4 Sea Kayaking ICW

Elevate your sea kayaking instruction in the heart of New York City! Based out of Floyd Bennett Field, this 4-day immersive Instructor Certification Workshop (ICW) dives into the fine points of open-water coastal kayaking. We’ll be training off Breezy Point, the South Shore, and Jamaica Bay—wherever the wind and currents provide the best classroom.

Note on Philosophy: While ACA L4 certification is a possible outcome, it is not our only metric for success. Our focus is on honing your ability to instruct, lead, and communicate effectively in dynamic Level 4 conditions within an inclusive, experiential environment.
Prerequisites
Candidates: Must hold a current L3 Instructor certification and have successfully completed an ACA Level 4 Skills Assessment.

Logistics & Investment
Price: $165 per day ($660 total).
Deposit: Secure your spot with a $100 down payment.
Early Bird Deadline: Reservations made after May 7th will incur a $50 late fee.
Lodging: On your own. Camping may be available at Floyd Bennett Field; we are happy to provide guidance on local stays.
